God In Nature !

MAIN HOMEPAGE                     God In Nature  poems  A | B | C  | D | |

I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Your works; and that my soul knows right well.                                                                                                                Psalm 139:14

The Marvel Of Your Creation !

I marvel at Your creation Lord
That I see all around me,
I thank You Lord I have ears to hear
And eyes with which to see.
I marvel at the birds each day
As they fly with such seeming ease,
The ants that never cease to toil
Yet seem to so effortlessly.
I marvel at each plant dear Lord
That grew from the tiniest seed,
I marvel at the detail of each
The colours, shapes and variety.
I know dear Lord You created me
That I am part of Your Plan,
I know dear Lord You care for me
And You have me in Your Hand.
Help me Lord to never forget that You
Fearfully and wonderfully made me,
To know for sure and never doubt
That by Your Grace I am free.
I pray dear Lord to be like the ant
That toils so effortlessly,
I pray that I can be as an eagle
To soar in the heavens with Thee.

I Stand In Awe My Lord !

As I travel through the country Lord
And see the Work of Your Hands,
I marvel at Your Work O Lord
Untouched nor harmed by man.
As I look at the rugged coastline
With the waves breaking on the shore,
I marvel at Your Craftsmanship
It is Yours forever more.

As I look up at the rolling hills
The foothills and the plains,
I marvel at the streams and rivers
And how You send the rain.
As I look at the trees and plants
Waving in the breeze,
I marvel how they grow so sure
I marvel how they grow so sure
                                                                                                 And with such seeming ease.
As I travel through the forest
Where the trees grow so tall,
I feel so insignificant Lord
It makes me feel so small.
As I look out through my window
At the trees and birds nearby,
I marvel at the ease O Lord
With which the birds do fly.

As I listen to the birds all singing
It brings comfort to my ears,
I marvel at your creation Lord
I thank You, You are so near.
As I walk daily through the garden
And look at the plants and flowers,
I marvel at the shapes and colours
You created by Your Power.

As I look each day at the setting sun
The rays of bright sunlight,
I marvel at the signs You send
At the start of each new night.
As I look at the moon and stars
That shine forth in the night,
I marvel at all You have created
As reflections of Your Light.

As I walk early in the morning
When the air is fresh and still,
I watch with such marvel Lord
As the sun rises over the hill.
As the sun begins to rise each day
The stillness is replaced by sound
I look on with such awe my Lord
At Your Creation that is all around.

As I Watch The Falling Raindrops !

As I watch the falling raindrops
Fall upon the pool of water,
I think of how the Holy Spirit
Is raining upon my life.

As I watch the falling raindrops
And the ripples they do cause,
I think of how the Holy Spirit
Spreads out from where He lands.

As I watch the falling raindrops
Fall upon the dry earth,
I think of how the Holy Spirit
Refreshes the earth where He falls.

As I watch the falling raindrops
Come down from the clouds above,
I think of how the Holy Spirit
Is by Grace poured out in Love.

I, even I, will call to God, and He shall save me.
Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.
He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; for there were many with me.
God shall hear and answer them, even He who is enthroned of old. Selah.

Psalm 55:16-19
